Dr. Averil Almeida has had a love for animals since she was very young. In school she discovered a passion and an aptitude for Biology so becoming a veterinary doctor was the next logical step.
Averil honed her passion for veterinary medicine by volunteering at a small animal clinic during weekends and vacations in high school and university. She graduated with a veterinary degree from the University of Nairobi. She worked for a year in Kenya with companion animals, exotics and ostriches too.
Averil relocated to Canada where she continued to work on companion animals. Her interests are in orthopaedics and during her free time she enjoys hiking, cycling and reading
